Zoe Pilger was born in 1984 in London, where she still lives. Her first novel, Eat My Heart Out, will be published by Serpent's Tail in January 2014. Zoe is also an art critic for The Independent and winner of the 2011 Frieze International Writers Prize. She has appeared on BBC Newsnight's The Review Show, Channel Four's Sunday Brunch, and Sky News. In addition, Zoe is researching a PhD on the concept of romantic subjection in the work of French artist Sophie Calle at Goldsmiths, University of London, where she has also taught social and political theory. Zoe graduated with a BA from Cambridge University in 2007 and an MA from Goldsmiths in 2010.
